Former Boy Band Singer for NSync Justin Timberlake is taking vocal lessons to make himself sound more like a manly-man ... and less like a former Boy Band Singer for NSync.
Justin is reportedly fretting and sweating the fact that he is being passed over for big screen movie roles because casting directors think he sounds too young, even though he landed the voice of Artie, the young King Arthur, in "Shrek 3" (Thanks to Cameron), and has just finished filming a police drama "Edison" in which he plays a young journalist.
But the high-pitched boyfriend of Hollywood actress Cameron Diaz craves more manly roles, which is why he has hired the vocal specialist. A friend said: "He was dejected after the casting bosses rejected him. At first they refused to tell him why they had reached their decisions, in case it hurt him."
"But he wanted to know if he needed more acting experience. And they eventually confessed they rejected him because he sounded more like a 12-year-old boy than an action hero. He has been doing voice exercises day and night in a bid to develop a deep voice."
