Actress Nicole Kidman and country singer Keith Urban are "officially engaged" according to reports that claim the news was accidentally leaked by Nicole's sister Antonia who was caught off-guard during an interview.
According to Hollywood.com, a newspaper reporter spoke to Antonia, a TV presenter, at a party and fed her the prompt that the "big news" for the Kidman family must be really exciting. Antonia replied, "Oh yeah ..." then quickly tried to cover up by saying, "I mean, I guess -- ah no, I don't know."
Nicole and Keith reportedly got engaged in Nashville, Tennessee, where they celebrated Thanksgiving with both sets of parents. The couple and their publicists have denied the rumors that they are even dating even though they have been spotted often together.
Antonia reportedly said: "My parents just got back last night, they had a great time but I haven't had a chance to see them and get all the news yet."
Nicole has been sporting a new rock on her finger and Australian news services are guessing that a wedding is planned for New Year's Eve, possibly to be held in Fiji.

Keith Urban is not only a great singer and song writer but he is an amazing guy! When I heard the news I have to admitt I was just a little jealous....haha...but they will be great together and I'm happy for them both. Congrats, may your years be filled with happyness!

Quite frankly, I don't think Keith and Nicole make a very good couple at all. I think Keith is much too down to earth for the actress. It will never work! They have nothing in common except both of them coming from Australia.

I agree with ameara down below, I think they have nothing in commmon, except they're australian, and i think she is just trying to get back at tom cruise because he found someone better than her and will end up breaking keith's heart. As we can tell from kenny chesney and renee Zellweger, atresses and country singers don't mix and nicole kidman is way to high maintenance for keith and he can fit in with her froo froo fancy friends but she will never fit in wiht his down to earth country friends. But that's just my opinion.
