Oscar winner Hilary Swank and actor husband Chad Lowe are the latest Hollywood couple to decide to call it quits.
The couple has been together for 12 years and married for eight, and her manager, Troy Nankin, hinted that they haven't ruled out a reconciliation in the future. "Hilary and Chad have decided to separate, but they are hopeful they'll be able to get through this tough time."
Just last winter, Hilary slammed reports her marriage was in trouble because he is a struggling actor while she makes millions per picture - and winning two Oscars for butch roles in "Million Dollar Baby" and "Boys Don't Cry". She was especially horrified by rumors that he was seeing a Hollywood psychologist to help him cope with her successful film career.
She insisted at the time: "Being married to an actor helps because he understands the ups and downs, and what they mean. It's not like Chad is going to get my roles."
