Bon Jovi Rocker Richie Sambora says he's been blindsided by his wife Heather Locklear's announcement yesterday that she has filed for divorce. "It's completely untrue," he said, adding that he had Valentine's Day plans with his wife.
But just an hour before he spoke those words, her publicist had made an official announcement to the press. The legal action was news to Richie, who insisted in an exclusive interview with ABC News Radio that things were fine at home.
Nevertheless, her mouthpiece, CeCe York, had spoken: "After 10 years of marriage, Heather Locklear has filed for divorce from Richie Sambora. This is a private matter and there will be no further comment at this time."
Even when confronted with the shocking news, Richie was very gracious. "I'm going home," he said, adding that Heather sometimes joins him on tour. "Heather was just up for our anniversary and that was December 15. I was home for like two and a half weeks in Christmas and I have a month off in March, so it's going to be good."
