Dismissing her critics, Elisha Cuthbert has returned to the cult TV hit "24", despite the problem that fans of the show had often complained about her character's absurd storylines.
"I know a lot of fans were frazzled about it, but I think now Kim is coming back in an intelligent way that makes sense for the show." (From your lips to God's ears!)
Elisha has been been in a number of unrealistic situations on "24" as Kimberley, the prodigal daughter of agent Jack Bauer, and is telling anyone who will listen that her character will be MORE BELIEVABLE from now on -- amid the rest of the story with all the guns and explosions, terrorists, a pissed-off First Lady, Martial Law declarations, music pirates, terrorists, torture (Sorry! I meant "Information Extraction"), nerve gas, and more terrorists. And Kim Bauer works into those scenerios beautifully.
Or at least she would, but she's saddled with a new boyfriend on the show, played by the almost-40-year-old C. Thomas Howell, who comes off as one incredibly creepy-looking guy next to the hottie 23-year-old. Ewwww!
Elisha told PageSix, "I understood where [the fans] were coming from with all the comments and reviews. Nothing was ever directed towards my acting, it was directed toward the storylines, and that helped."
"If it would have been about me being a disaster, then it would have hurt a lot, because I worked my ass off to make sure the storylines were believable."
