Shakira’s pop superstar status will be set in stone when a giant steel statue of her is erected in her Colombian hometown.
The 16 foot ( five metres) tall sculpture is expected to arrive by sea tomorrow and will be placed in a square in her native Barranquilla.
The "Whenever, Wherever", "Objection (Tango)" and "La Tortura" singer is proud of the statue and hopes it will inspire people. "I want people to think that any girl can start working on her dreams and that they will come true,” she revealed when shown her likeness at a charity event last November.
“When the people look at this sculpture I want them to not to think of me but think of every young girl from Barranquilla who is working toward her dreams,” she added.
German artist Dieter Patt donated the sculpture, which he decided to create after meeting the sexy star during her world tour. You can’t blame him for wanting to get his hands on her “small and humble” curves.

I like her too, but not enough to make her statues or so. Is there any picture of that statue?
