Nicole Richie has attacked the media for accusing her of being dangerous skinny.
Her dramatically plunging weight has sparked fears for her health, with her Simple Life co-star and ex-friend Paris Hilton saying her appearance is “not normal,” “horrible“ and “really sad”.
But 24-year-old star insists that she doesn’t have a weight problem.
“Am I thin? Yes, no doubt about it. But to say I’m on the verge of death is just untrue,” she recently told Glamour magazine.
“My family get really upset to see these people writing lies about their child. Do they ask me about it? No, because they know that I eat.”
She’s blamed her tiny figure on the stresses and pressures of her job.
“I have days where I’m up at 4.30am and still filming at 11pm,” she says.
But she’s revealed she still finds time in her busy schedule to go to the gym, despite not having any fat left to burn off.
“I’ll squeeze in a workout when I have time, but I don’t do any cardio – I don’t need to, I’m too thin,” she said. “And I eat whatever I feel like, sandwiches, whatever.”
Nicole is currently filming the next series of “The Simple Life” with Paris, but the feuding pair are shooting their scenes separately.
