The marriage of Sir Paul McCartney and Heather Mills is reportedly on the rocks, especially now that the former Beatle took a vacation by himself in the south of France without Heather. The latest rumors are that the couple who wed in 2002 have been having difficulties and have taken to living in separate homes 50 miles apart.
Also, friends are claiming that the amount of the time they spend apart is an indication there's trouble brewing.
"They have been rowing constantly recently," a source told Britain's Daily Mail. "She is angry that he gets so much adulation from fans and is one of the most famous people on the planet, while she feels she should get just as much respect for being a model and a campaigner."
Another source told the Sunday Mirror newspaper: "Heather has always been tough on Paul, basically walking all over him. Paul has put up with it because he's a kind, gentle human being. But something just snapped with Paul. He's had enough of being treated like a doormat. He's beaten up emotionally and just needed time out. So he just walked out."
Other friends have denied claims the couple are having crisis talks. One insider is quoted by Britain's News of the World newspaper as saying: "It's very frosty. There hasn't been any contact and they haven't spoken for more than two weeks. At the moment they are still living separate lives."
Will you still need me, will you still feed me, when I'm 64? It's sad to see this since they both seemed really into each other, but Sir Paul turns 64 next month and it looks like he might be celebrating alone ...
